Mending Workshop with Swanson's Fabrics
Mending Workshop with Swanson's Fabrics
April 19, 2025 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Join us at the library for free a textile mending workshop led by instructors from Swanson's Fabrics Stash House! Mending is for everyone, no sewing experience required. Bring 1-3 items of clothing that need repairs and learn how to mend them with support from the Stash House teaching staff. Pre-registration optional via the Swanson's Fabrics Stash House website. This is part of the Building a Culture of Clothing Repair workshop series taking place across the valley, and this program is supported in part by a grant from the Ashfield Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Spring Poetry Share: “Wake up”

What activities wake you up? What gets you going? Do you ever feel like you want to shake your friend, neighbor, or country awake? Find examples of your poems to read where you may feel pleading or demanding that people wake up, where you feel inspired to start the day, when all your cells are buzzing and you feel fully conscious? (And you don't have any of your own, find and read someone else's poetry.)
Come read and listen on Wednesday, April 30, 6:30-8:00pm in the Belding Memorial Library Meeting Room with poet Arianna Alexsandra Collins of Offerings for Community Building. Wine, tea, and treats will be served.
