A Blooming Feast: Wild Edibles & Medicinals Immersion Experience
A Blooming Feast: Wild Edibles & Medicinals Immersion Experience
May 17, 2025 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
I had no idea when I ate that flower, a poem would blossom in my heart. May is a joyful time for taste sensations from the gifts the flowers bring. Join naturalist educator, poet, and wild edibles enthusiast Arianna Alexsandra Collins on Saturday, May 17 from 3:00-5:00pm for immersion experience in May's wild edibles and medicinals. Together we will walk the Land Arianna lives on and learn to identify Spring's edible flowers. Perhaps even draw poetic inspiration from our "nibblings." After our walk-about we will gather in Avalon Studio to eat foods Arianna prepared from what the Land has to offer. We will give thanks and share any phrases or poems the flowers dictated to us in communion with them. Resources and meal preparation will also be discussed. This program is free and open to the public and made possible through a Belding Memorial Library sponsorship. Registration is required. Limited to 16 participants. Contact Belding Memorial Library to register: 413-628-4414 or bmlashfield@gmail.com. Ashfield MA address will be given upon registration.
