Come share and work on your projects in a meet up that is open to all crafters, both beginners and masters alike. We welcome you to share your techniques and connect with fellow crafters in our community.

We'll be hosting a free community writing class-- seven weeks to kick start your creativity! Local author Rachel Lyon will lead the class in guided exercises, conduct short lessons on craft, and offer in-class guidance and feedback on works-in-progress. The class is open to writers of all experience levels. Join for all seven weeks, or just drop in once or twice, to get a feel for things! Mondays 6:30PM to 8PM: 7/13, 7/20, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31.

RACHEL LYON
is the author of Sixes, forthcoming from Zando in 2028; Fruit of the Dead, which was a finalist for the 2025 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize; and Self-Portrait with Boy, a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s 2018 First Novel Prize. Rachel’s short work has appeared in One Story, The Rumpus, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. She has taught most recently at Bennington College and the American University of Paris, where she was the 2024 Paris Writer in Residence. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, she lives with her family in Western Massachusetts.

Our library provides pop-up services to residents at the Franklin County Jail in Greenfield.

Geared for children ages 4-7; siblings and families welcome. Crafting, storytelling, and summer fun in the kids' room at the library. Local teenagers Katelyn Bozek and Annemieke Bourdon are running this program for a second year!

A zine ("zeen") is a handmade & self-published booklet, usually photocopied and traded or sold in small batches. Did you know we’ve started a zine library & art-making station in the teen section? Join us on the last Wednesday of each month for ZINE CLUB, where we’ll have art games, creative prompts, and supplies for making your own zine!
