Autumn Community Potluck and Poetry Share!

Saturday, October 13:  12:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited to this community picnic on the back lawn of the Library! Please bring a seasonal dish to share, drinks and a picnic blanket. If possible, bring your own cups and silverware.  Tables, chairs and compostable dishes will be provided. Poems for the season to share aloud are most welcome! Rain brings the picnic to the Library’s downstairs community meeting room.   Co-sponsored by Hearken to Avalon and Offerings for Community Building.

Halloween at Belding Library!

Decorate pumpkins & the library steps on Monday, October 29: 3-5 p.m.!

Families with children of all ages are encouraged to join us on the Monday before Halloween to decorate pumpkins and to decorate the library steps in anticipation of trick-or-treating on Wednesday evening!  Wear clothes that can get dirty…and feel free to bring decorative items to donate to make the library steps look particularly seasonal, colorful or spooky!

Library Exhibit: Brazilian ceramic figurines

Os Retirantes/The Migrants is a marvelous collection of ceramic figurines purchased in Northeast Brazil in the 1960’s by Shep and Leona Forman while they were doing anthropological research among peasants and fisherman.
